We offer our customers a wide range of products, including sonars and sensors, guidance systems for submarines and surface ships, mine countermeasures systems, unmanned underwater vehicles and radio and communication systems.

Tasks

• You will take on development tasks for software components for unmanned (automated and autonomous) systems in C++.
• You support the development of software specifications, software architectures, test procedures and software components including communication interfaces.
• As part of an agile and growing team, you will further develop new and existing components.
• You also actively follow trends in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and autonomy and contribute new ideas.
• You will support national and international research projects and work on the latest trends in the field of maritime autonomy.
• You integrate and test your software on our test vehicles in our ATLAS lake.

profile

• You have successfully completed a degree, preferably in computer science, software engineering, computer science or mathematics.
• You are interested and have possibly gained experience from your studies in the areas of autonomy, guidance, obstacle avoidance (2D/3D), SDF or comparable topics in the field of AUVs.
• You are characterized by an understandingof tool-supported software development under common operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux) and the application of artificial intelligence approaches (neural networks, deep learning, etc.).
• You are enthusiastic about modern software development:you are familiar with clean code and software craftsmanship.
• As a developer, you bring practicalimplementation skills in at least one high-level languageand experience in the areas of design, testing, build (CMake) and/or continuous integration of software (CI), preferably with GitLab, and are able to use the tools with guidance if necessary.
• Your strengths include strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as the ability to present and communicate your work results in German and English.
• You enjoyoccasional national and international business trips .
