Principal Scientist Bioprocessing Solutions Development (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Principal Scientist Pharma Solutions Development.

Your tasks:

• Lead, supervise and support the development of NMR-based (high-resolution and Benchtop-FT-NMR) solution development projects for all applied markets (pharma, industrial and clinical) as per BBIO-PLM-process.
• Co-lead the definition of BPA’s New Solutions roadmap for the End-to-End value chain, especially downstream R&D and manufacturing, in biotechnology/pharma, cleantech & industrial and clinical applied market segments, in close cooperation with Market Directors.
• Lead the execution of solution development projects of BPA’s New Solutions Development roadmap for biotechnology/pharma market – with special focus on bioproduction & PAT, TIDES and pharma quality control applications. As such, she/he will lead the corresponding project development team. Typical KPI are: time to market; quality of the solution; design for usability i.e level of ease of use of the solution; vitality rate of the solution; business performance versus business case);
• Lead the program of making MR-solutions easier to use in downstream R&D and manufacturing across all BPA markets.
• Lead, supervise and support the development of enabling technology modules related to pre-validated workflows and seamless integrations with sample handling and data handling systems.
• Deputize -on request- for the head of Solutions Development BPA.
• Responsible for ensuring that developed solutions are ready to be implemented in (bio) GMP environments.
• Responsible for project coordination with pharma market management and pharma solution product mangers
• Supervise and mentor project team members
• Act as scientific supervisor and drive scientific innovation & research for all BPA markets (pharma, industrial and clinical market)
• Interface with Market Management, Technical and Platform Product Management, Central Research and Development (R&D), Sales and Operations. Recommend new application solutions, developments, or enhancements as a result of customer and/or sales force feedback.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive landscapes also including competing technologies.
• Support the Product Innovation Management, including deployment scouting, new market identification and expansion in cooperation with Market Management, IP strategy and collaboration management.
• Representation of the company and promotion of the product portfolio at congresses, seminars and in technical committees of relevant industry associations.

Qualifikationen:

• More than 15 years professional experience in NMR spectroscopy, thereof min. 13 years in pharma-related applications in pharma industry.
• Highly experienced with a larger range of analytical methods (e.g. GC/LC-MS, HPLC, NIR, …)
• Hghly experienced with GxP workflows, requirements and implementations
• Highly experienced with Process Analytical Technology (PAT) and bioproduction
• Deep understanding and insight of end-to-end value and supply chains in the pharma market
