Business controller

At Acta by Jifmar, a global leader in maritime solutions, we are looking for a Business Controller to join the international Finance team in Den Helder. Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for data and finance? Then we are looking for you.

As of December 2023, Jifmar acquired Acta Marine’s workboats division and together they form the world’s largest independent operator of workboats. An exciting journey that lies ahead of us where we will focus on best practices and continuous improvement.

1/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyse financial performance, identifying trends, and provide insight and recommendations
• Utilize Power BI and other analytical tools to generate insightful reports and dashboards in collaboration with the finance team located in France
• Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data and ensure accuracy in reporting
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting frameworks and initiatives.

Financial Planning and Control:

• Coordinate the planning and control cycle including budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Monitor financial performance against budget and provide recommendations for improvement

Improvement and Innovation:

• Drive continuous improvement in financial and operational processes together with international internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative technologies, Ai-driven solutions and automation tools

Ad-Hoc Analysis and Projects:

• Support senior management with ad-hoc financial analysis and projects
• Conduct research and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
• Participate in evaluation and analysis of potential investments and business opportunities

2/ REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• BSC / BA in business economics, accountancy, in business administration or controlling. MSc preferred;
• At least 1- 3 years’ experience in Business Finance positions;
• Strong Excel and MS office skills, experience with BI tools (Power BI) is a strong plus;
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
