More information on NewCold can befound on www.newcold.com and our socialmedia.About the vacancy:The Procurement Director will manage and contribute to capital procurement for all projects and organize effective reporting to the Chief Project Officer. The job consists in evaluate progress with the CPO and – if relevant - redefine actions, develop and implement NewCold Procurement Strategy, initiate improvement in efficiency and effectiveness of the capital procurement process within the organization (this involves setting sourcing and purchasing policies, managing purchasing budgets, and overall management of sourcing and purchasing processes).What will you do?Take part in projects and project teams and contribute to delivery procurement actions in close collaboration with Procurement Category Managers and the Procurement Contract ManagerProvide clear & frequent procurement updates to Project Directors, Steering Committees and internal stakeholders. Updates include procurement status, schedule, financials & risksMaintain effective and ongoing communication with all parties, including the dedicated global and regional teams of design and engineering, legal, finance and other internal key stakeholdersDevelop, maintain strategic sourcing and purchasing strategy process that creates efficiencies across targeted capital spend categories, minimizes supply risks with improved supplier selection, and gives visibility into pricing and forecasting which includes but not limited to: vendor evaluation, and competitive sourcingIn conjunction with the Chair of the Project Steering Committees ensure effective and transparent procurement governanceLead rigorous and objective contract negotiations in close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, legal department and support groupsPrioritize incoming workload across all capital projects and ensure resources are assigned to support the development & executionSupport in optimize the “Procure-to-pay” process and maximize integrating purchasing and accounts payable systems to create better efficiencyMaintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers and make sure that cost, quality, and delivery targets are metWho are we looking for?You have:Bachelor’s degree in business administration,supply chain management, procurement or comparable fieldsMore than 7 years experience in capital procurement delivery in a high speed and dynamic environmentMore than 7 years experience in project delivery for $100m plus in development or highly automated environmentExpert knowledge of Procurement management systemsRelationship managementStrong analytical skillsStrong entrepreneurial andcommercial thinkingUnderstanding of riskmanagementCertified International Procurement Professional(CIPP) or other related certificationsProficiency in English, preferably Dutch, any other European language is a plusAreyou up for the job?If you are interested in this vacancy and would like to apply, please make surethat you leave your CV in English.
