About Our Client

We are looking for a Financial Controller a.i. to support the control and bookkeeping activities within a Rijksoverheid department in Den Haag.

You will work closely with Project and Programme Managers, as well as the manager of Finance and Control to help troubleshoot and understand problems, and effectively implement solutions.

Job Description

As a Financial Controller a.i., you will:

• Coordinate the financial control and bookkeeping
• Create a new department of bookkeeping staff, and assist in filling the vacancies
• View financial issues from multiple angles
• Contribute to the planning and control cycle
• Work together with the various teams, department heads and project leaders to collect and analyse financial data
• Periodically prepare reports and management information
• Ensure the correct forecasts
• Together with those involved, you draw up and monitor the annual budget
• Ensure the implementation of the internal control procedures

The Successful Applicant

• Previous experience within Rijksoverheid/Public Sector and Government and department systems
• Previous experience within Financial Control and planning
• Experience using Oracle
• Understanding of the reporting lines within government
• Understanding of treasury/bookkeeping/GL
• Strong communicator in both Dutch and English
• Working as a ZPP'er
