(ZDPol) The Central Police Service of the State of Brandenburg is the central service facility for the police and other organizational areas of the state administration.

The Central Police Service of the State of Brandenburg, Potsdam office, is looking for the next possible date for the Information Technology department

a Systems Administrator (f/m/d).

The Authorized Agency Digital Radio (AS) is responsible for the state-wide operation of the digital radio network in the state of Brandenburg and provides the necessary digital radio services for all users of the authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS). In its responsibility for the state-wide digital radio network, the Authorized Body manages the base station locations in the state of Brandenburg and can be contacted "around the clock" as a central and competent contact for all network and operational faults. It coordinates the requirements and inquiries of its users and service partners across the BOS and provides support in all aspects of digital radio in emergency situations. The Authorized Body and its employees thus ensure stable and reliable operational communication for all BOS.

The following specific tasks are associated with the position of Systems Officer:

Ensuring the digital radio-specific IT systems

• Testing and classification of requirements for the use of digital radio-specific applications
• Setup and administration of the digital radio domain
• Development and administration of digital radio-specific server applications
• Creating procedure-specific service specifications and concepts
• Planning and controlling the change management process
• Monitoring and reporting
  
  

Fault processing

• Technical support and guidance for users of the specific IT systems
• Operation of digital radio-specific IT applications
• Fault processing (1st, 2nd, 3rd level)
• Assessment of faults with an impact on the functionality of the digital radio network
  
  

Basic and conceptual tasks

• Collaboration in projects for the introduction of new IT systems and tools, planning and coordination of individual measures
• Contact person and interface to external service providers
  
  

What You Bring With You

For the vacant position we are looking for a committed personality with a successfully completed university degree (Diploma [FH] or Bachelor) in the field of computer science

or

with successfully completed vocational training with an IT focus (e.g. IT specialist specializing in application development or system integration, technical system IT specialist, IT system administrator, IT system electronics technician) and at least three years of additional professional experience in information technology relevant to the task at hand

or

with at least six years of task-relevant professional experience in information technology (lateral entry)

or

with a career qualification for the higher technical service as a computer scientist.

• strong knowledge of network architectures and current IT technology
• Good system and administration knowledge in the Linux or MS Server environment, firewall, routing and switching
• Knowledge and experience
• in client-server technologies
• in the administration of WEB services and dealing with MS Active Directory (AD)
• Knowledge of modern relational databases and associated tools
• Basic knowledge and experience in radio communication
• Basic knowledge of BSI basic protection
• experience
• with virtualization environments (e.g. VMWare)
• in the configuration of network technology (especially Cisco systems)
• in the area of firewalls (e.g. Cisco ASA) and backup systems
• Knowledge of technical English
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken German
• Ability to acquire and analyze new technical contexts
• Possession of a valid class B driving license, alternatively guarantee of mobility

• Basic knowledge and experience in TETRA digital radio
  
  

The activity is subject to the implementation of the extended security check (Ü2).
