This position will act as a champion responsible for overseeing management of raw material supply and suppliers. Requires collaboration with the suppliers, site planning, procurement, product management and resite teams as well as other functional partners which will generate a sense of urgency as they work with teams on key projects. The position will also collaborate with peers within the Supply Chain, Industrial, and Commercial teams to support GBU transformation initiatives.
Main responsibilities:
Short Term Raw Material Supply Issues

• First point of escalation for r/m supply issues
• Coordinating with sites to review requirements for common items needing to be shared to validate correct balance between locations and customers. Will require working with Product Managers and Site planning teams to prioritize.
• Co-ordination of supply recovery activities
• Seek internal solution within the site or across different CM sites (organizing STO's , prioritizing availability of RM's across sites, etc)
• Manages raw material resite projects including allocation of inventories, supplier onboarding and readiness, etc
• Facilitates the Special Buy approval process which tracks the procurement of materials / supplies which do not have actual demand.
• Coordinates bi-weekly raw materials meeting with Procurement
  
  

Mid/Long Term

• Oversees supplier rate readiness for future growth
• Validates and ensure supplier forecasts are available for internal and external partners
• Responsibility for raw material inventory management and achieving business cash goals
• Identifies opportunities for SMOG avoidance and reduction and actions accordingly
• Review and recommend appropriate safety inventory levels and lead times in SAP
• Tracks monthly raw material inventory levels by site / supplier.
• Tracks weekly inventory of RMs, Intermediates, packaging, and Finished goods.
• Maintains supplier lead time accuracy and identifies reduction opportunities
• Represents planning in strategic supplier meetings
• Driving Supplier OTIF improvement, and managing improvement plans with suppliers
