As a leading company in the development of highly complex laser and beam guidance systems and machines for industrial production, we employ around 430 people at our Göttingen site. In our Research & Development department, which comprises around 70 experts, we develop innovative solutions that are produced directly on site. Software development for the control of our industrial systems is the focus of this position.

Tasks

• Participation in the planning and implementation of challenging projects
• Creation of requirements analyses as well as conception and development of software systems, especially in the area of embedded and real-time systems
• Developing software test specifications and carrying out software tests in conjunction with hardware components
• Creation of software documentation in accordance with relevant norms and standards
• Developing innovative solutions in the development team
• Supporting customer service with software-related issues
  
  

Qualification

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering or physics with a focus on computer science (diploma/master's degree)
• First professional experience in a comparable position
• Sound knowledge of programming under Microsoft Windows, especially in the development of graphical user interfaces (GUI)
• Good knowledge of programming with Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 in the languages C# and C++ (.NET)
• Initial experience in image evaluation (e.g. CCD image evaluation, false color display, evaluation methods)
• Basic knowledge of controlling X-Y-Z tables and motors
• Excellent communication skills in German and good knowledge of English
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an international environment
