For the adServer Development Team we are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is going to innovate within the tradeoff space between performance and product needs whilst slowly modernizing a legacy code base. Moreover, the team lurks in the alleys of algorithms whilst building and maintaining a self-healing distributed system that processes billions of requests every day with low latency and nearly zero downtime.

What You Can Expect In This Role

• Help your team solve contemporary challenges in the digital advertising space, all the way from design to deployment and incremental improvement.
• Implement your solutions in a context where O(n) feels like an eternity and protect them with unit, functional, and E2E tests.
• Refactor legacy code to become both more modular and domain-driven.
• To offer third-level support to customers and first-level support to your teammates, like helping them to overcome blockers.
  
  

Your Essential Experience And Education

• Mastery of C++17 along with several years of professional experience in server-side software engineering.
• Good first experience with containerization (docker) and service orchestration (K8s).
• A solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, concurrency, and time/space complexity.
• Exposure to relational and NoSQL databases along with experience with the Kafka ecosystem and IDLs like Thrift or gRPC is preferred.
• Ability to drive topics independently, think critically, code cleanly, and articulate oneself.
