Senior Accountant (m/f/d)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (m/f/d) to support our financial accounting team. You are an important part of the team and, as a trusted point of contact for our various departments, you always keep an eye on our figures. You are not afraid of the term "fast close" and enjoy working with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, Legal or Operations. It would be ideal if you could work two to three days on site in Schöppingen.

These are your tasks:

• You will be responsible for our financial accounting, particularly for the careful preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per the German Commercial Code (HGB) requirements.
• As a valuable companion, you will support our tax consultant in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements with the team and ensure the accuracy and completeness of our financial reports.
• You will prepare VAT returns and provide support with tax returns and internal tax issues (often in an international context).
• As the author of accounting memos, you will document and communicate complex financial issues, both internally and externally
• You will be responsible for accounting for fixed assets.
• You work hand in hand with the financial accounting team, accounts payable and accounts receivable experts, our ERP, and business intelligence team to complete the big picture.
• As the direct contact for management and external stakeholders, you are the face of our finance department. You communicate clearly and persuasively to build confidence in our financial stability.
• You take on a mentoring role for your colleagues in Accounting. You share your knowledge, inspire others to give their best, and continuously develop.
  
  

This is what you'll bring to the table:

• You bring at least five years' experience as a financial accountant.
• You have completed further training as an accountant ("Bilanzbuchhalter/in").
• You have excellent knowledge of accounting regulations (HGB, IFRS, and/or US-GAAP are a plus).
• You have good tax knowledge.
• Communication is one of your strengths, German language skills are a must, English - conversational skills
• You have good to excellent Office skills.
• You are (very) familiar with accounting systems (MS Navision/Dynamics is a plus).
• You work in a structured and independent manner and have an analytical mindset.
• Experience in the software industry and/or with subscription-based business models is a plus.
