Meteorologist (Full-Time)

Founded in 2022, Ventus Technologies is set out to provide high resolution weather data, specifically curated to optimize mobility applications. We believe that with better weather forecasts, we not only enable the OEMs to improve EV customer experience, but also improve the scheduling of EV-fleets. Accurate weather forecasts can also improve the vehicle safety for commercial trucks and autonomous vehicles. We aspire to enable the future of mobility with a robust weather data infrastructure. Tasks

• Assess the performance of weather models by comparing them with observed data from various sources.
• Develop physics and AI/ ML based road weather models
• Work alongside data scientists to ensure meteorological insights are effectively integrated into predictive models.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of significant weather events, focusing on their broader impacts, including on mobility and logistics.
• Present meteorological findings and trends to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, accessible manner.
• Utilize Python to manage, process, and analyze large-scale weather datasets efficiently.
• Keep informed of new developments in meteorology and data science, applying innovative techniques for improving forecast models with a focus on accuracy and scalability.
  
  
  

Requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years working experience in Meteorology and with AI/ML techniques
• Masters degree in Meteorology, Climate Science, Earth Sciences, environmental engineering, etc.
• Strong experience in coding with Python
• Knowledge and prior experience in working with meteorological data
• Motivation and enjoyment of continuous learning
• Passion for gaining hand-on experience with technological projects
