Master Thesis: Statistical 3D Denoising on GPU for Industrial CT

We design and manufacture a range of sensing instrumentation that are utilised in a vast array of market segments. Our Software teams design, prototype, implement and validate next-generation software for industrial sensing systems. We collaborate with teams to solve complex technical challenges and design future innovations.

Description:

CT Scanning increasingly demands for fast throughput time. It can be achieved by eitherreducing number of projections (under-sampling artifacts) or X-ray dose (noisedegradation). And increased noise degradation results in insufficient reconstructionquality with classical Filtered Backprojection (FBP) based algorithms.

Sinogram interpolation can help mitigate the artifacts.

To be successful in this role you will:

• have good programming knowledge.
• have experience with computed tomography.
• have programming experience with C++ or python.
• Be registered as student in a technical field like computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering.
