Manager Tax (m/w/d)
Job Description of Manager – Tax EMEA:
- Responsible for income tax provisions, reconciliations and disclosures as required under U.S. GAAP ASC 740 for all EMEA legal entities. Review projected income tax provisions in interim periods for quarterly reporting.
- Responsible for completion of documentation of internal controls as required under U.S. GAAP for all EMEA legal entities.
- Manage the outsourcing of EMEA VAT and income tax compliance.
- Perform tax research on proposed or enacted legislation in all EMEA jurisdictions where KMT conducts business. Assess the impact of such legislation, summarize and report findings, and make recommendations to the Director of Tax and/or executive management.
- Develop, analyze and implement EMEA tax planning strategies, including, but not limited to, merger, acquisition, divestitures and legal entity restructuring to ensure a tax efficient legal organization structure.
- Manage all transfer pricing matters in and between EMEA legal entities and provide support to the KMT Corporate Tax Department as necessary for other related party transactions involving EMEA legal entities.
- Manage all German income tax or VAT audits. Act as the principal contact and coordinator for other EMEA income tax or VAT audits.
- Negotiate, as necessary, any disputed tax assessments with tax authorities to resolve the disputes in favor of KMT.
- Develop periodic forecasts of EMEA tax payments for the company’s global cash flow forecasts.
- Represent the tax department in cross-functional meetings to provide guidance with respect to EMEA tax matters.
- Direct the professional development of EMEA tax staff, including the completion of the KMT performance planning and management (PPM) process.
- Manage ad hoc projects as necessary.
Requirements of Manager – Tax EMEA:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Business Management degree with concentration in accounting
- MBA/MS in taxation or German Tax Advisor preferred
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in German corporate taxation
- International tax experience preferred
- Some experience with U.S. taxation, especially ASC 740 preferred
- Some experience working for the government tax office considered a plus.
- Proficiency required in Excel and SAP. OneStream experience a plus.
