Junior Food Technologist - Product Development (f/m/d)

We are vly - one of Europe's fastest-growing FoodTech startups, with a strong drive for R&D, innovation, and health. We exist to right the wrongs in the food industry and we do that by creating healthy, plant-based products that make people vly, not sugar-high. After years of R&D, we launched milk alternatives based on pea protein. They not only contain only 1/3 of the sugar content of oat milk but they also won best product of the year in 2022. We have also created one of the - if not THE - healthiest yogurts on the market and continue to grow with our healthy, everyday dairy alternatives.

To make our vision a reality, we need you as a Junior Food Technologist (f/m/x) in Product Development! In this role, you will work on formulations, processes and recipes. Your work will entail running liasing with raw material suppliers, designing & executing experiments on benchtop as well as pilot level. We're proud to have a tailor-made in-house pilot production that enables us to test a large amount of ideas very quickly.

Your Role:

• Develop animal-free dairy products that have best-in-class nutritional values while tasting great.
• Conduct continuous experiments on benchtop & pilot scale.
• Iterate the process & ingredients to create (a) innovations, (b) new flavors of existing ranges as well as (c) updates of existing products.
• Become part of the vly R&D team and actively guide the future of our fast-growing FoodTech startup.

• You have a Bachelor's or Masters' degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, or equivalent.
• You have project or internship experience in Food Technology areas / food development roles (startup experience is a plus).
• You are curious, think outside the box to simplify your work with novel ingredients.
• Your English language skills are at least at C1 Proficiency.
• Bonus: You possess a track record of developing at least one, innovative food product.
