Internship ESG & Sustainability

Job Description

We invite you to join our ESG Sustainability Internship to participate in strategic sustainability initiatives, gain hands-on experience, and familiarize yourself with international regulations. You will develop a deep understanding of ESG principles and requirements and help find the evolving fit within compliance requirements. As part of the ESG department, you will work with various departments across the business, including People & Culture, Finance, Sales, Marketing, IT Security, Legal and Product, facilitating alignment and relationship building with key stakeholders.

A very good knowledge of German is essential for this role, as the tasks require, among other things, a precise reading and understanding of German legal texts and regulations.

In this role, you will report directly to the Director of ESG & Sustainability.

These are your tasks:

You will support the ESG team in coordinating various projects

• Supporting the implementation of sustainability reporting and compliance with the EU taxonomy.
• Improving internal sustainability communication.
• Support in the creation of carbon footprints.
• Managing and supporting sustainability projects.
• Participation in internal sustainability initiatives.
  
  

That's what you bring to the table:

• You are an "active" student (enrolled for the entire duration of the internship) and are available for an internship of 4-6 months, ideally starting Jan 2025 (certificate from university for the mandatory internship needed for the entire duration)
• You have good communication skills in both German and English.
• You are interested in sustainability regulations and environmental impacts in Germany and the EU
• You have a passion for networking and building meaningful relationships with stakeholders
• You are able to work independently, remotely and autonomously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are one of your strengths.
• You are proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
• You have strong project management skills to handle complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
