Sales (Hospitality)

We’re one of the main commercial areas of Planet’s business, accounting for around one-third of all revenue.

With a very large portfolio of products, ranging from PMS to on- and off-line payment solutions and from Network Management to customized TV solutions, Planet helps hoteliers delivering better accommodation & payments experiences for customers through our products and services, in a world where digital and physical experiences are coming together.

We are seeking diverse, highly motivated and skilled experts in payments, with a strong passion for acquiring new customers and growing existing ones.

Role Overview

This position, based in and responsible for 1) lead generation in a dedicated region within Germany, focus on attracting new prospects to our payment, hotel software, WLAN and Interactive TV solutions and 2) to look after a customer base in a designated region and improve customer relationship.

As an Inside Sales & Account Manager Germany, you will be the experienced, knowledgeable, and customer-focused professional who attracts existing customers and creates excitement for our product portfolio. Your job is to analyse your market and build a substantial pipeline of new prospects across our solutions. You'll work with world-class marketing, product and sales teams. Our product line is growing rapidly, and you will enjoy attracting technical products to various stakeholders within a hotel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing your market to identify cross-selling possibilities for our solution portfolio within the existing client base.
  • Creatively use email, phone, databases, and social media to dig deeper into your prospects organizations and attracting products and solutions to our customers by presenting products virtually and via phone.
  • Solving challenges, complaints and escalations with customers, if necessary, by cooperating with the internal departments.
  • You will develop a deep understanding of Planet's current and future features to find and implement new business opportunities.
  • You will ensure that business goals and objectives are the focus and that all sales activities are clearly reported, documented, and shared internally.
  • Ensure all new sales opportunities are clearly reported and documented in Salesforce and properly handed over to our field sales team according to internal standards to make your work visible to internal stakeholders.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Hospitality industry background
  • German native speaker and good written & spoken English (min. B1)
  • Experience with hotel software (PMS, Revenue Management, etc.) is a plus

  • Excellent sales skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Well-spoken and articulate.
  • Good Microsoft Office, Salesforce (CRM) and Windows operating system experience
  • Positive can do attitude
  • Organisation and issue resolution skills
