A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Head of Engineering at SE TI Sustainable Energy Systems (SE TI SES), you will spearhead strategic initiatives, balancing high-level planning with hands-on technical insight to drive our engineering operations in green hydrogen be it in projects or product development. Your role will encompass overseeing R&D-driven engineering advancements, providing project with the engineering deliverables, optimizing our hydrogen production and distribution frameworks, and ensuring all systems are robust, safe, and scalable. Each day, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex engineering challenges into sustainable energy solutions, advancing Siemens Energy’s commitment to a decarbonized future.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Drive the long-term engineering roadmap and competency landscape, ensuring alignment with Siemens Energy’s broader decarbonization and growth strategies
  • Oversee the development, enhancement, and operational resilience of hydrogen production, storage, and distribution systems, supporting scale-up and reliability
  • Mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering technical growth, collaborative innovation, and career advancement to meet evolving industry standards
  • Partner with operations, project management, sales, and R&D to drive forward-looking solutions in response to emerging hydrogen market demands
  • Stay at the forefront of green hydrogen trends, technology advancements, and industry regulations, integrating insights to guide research and product evolution
  • Represent engineering perspectives in strategic discussions, distilling complex information for both technical and business audiences
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements across all engineering activities, fostering a culture of compliance and responsibility
  • Champion pilot projects and field trials, demonstrating innovation viability and supporting the commercial deployment of advanced technologies


What You Bring

  • Over 10 years in engineering leadership within the energy or cleantech sector, with a deep focus on hydrogen, fuel cells, or related green technologies
  • Advanced degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent, with robust technical knowledge across green hydrogen applications
  • Demonstrated success in managing diverse engineering teams, with an emphasis on fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and results-oriented performance
  • Hands-on experience with hydrogen system design, production processes, and distribution infrastructure, with a proven track record of scaling up technologies
  • Strong critical thinking abilities to address complex challenges, with a knack for cost-effective and technically sound solutions
  • Skilled in managing cross-functional projects, delivering on time and within budget in a dynamic environment as well as ability to articulate technical concepts in an accessible manner for diverse audiences, fostering understanding and strategic alignment
  • In-depth understanding of safety protocols, environmental standards, and industry regulations specific to hydrogen and sustainable energy
  • A deep commitment to Siemens Energy’s vision for a sustainable energy transition, with a proactive approach to driving innovation in hydrogen
