This Is Where You Come In

• You will take over the installation and configuration of databases such as MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL - both in on-premises and cloud environments - and thus ensure the basis for our data infrastructure.
• Through proactive monitoring and efficient housekeeping, you ensure uninterrupted operation of the databases and ensure maximum availability and reliability through customized backup and recovery processes.
• In the event of database problems, you are the first point of contact, diagnosing and resolving problems quickly and effectively.
• Your expertise in performance optimization takes our database environment to the next level by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks with the help of tools.
• You support the security management for our databases and develop sophisticated security guidelines for the protection of sensitive data.
• You will use your expertise to develop a scalable user and authorization concept that clearly and efficiently regulates access to our databases.
• Planning and managing complex data migrations between different systems and versions to ensure a smooth transition
  
  

Your Game Deployment

• You have a degree in an IT-related field or have several years of practical experience in an IT production environment.
• You have in-depth experience in database administration, especially with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, DB2 and cloud databases.
• You have extensive knowledge of database installation and patch management, ensuring smooth operation.
• In-depth knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes, Rancher) and solid scripting experience with Ansible, Python and Bash are part of your toolbox.
• The ability to work in a team and a high level of initiative round off your profile - you enjoy working in a team, but also independently and proactively.
