Your mission
As the Chief of Staff in Photonic Computing at Q.ANT, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring effective communication across the organization. You will work closely with the Head of Photonic Computing and other senior leaders to support the growth and success of Photonic Computing at Q.ANT. Your mission is to enhance the efficiency of our operations, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and help execute our strategic priorities.

I. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
II. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D, strategic, operational, or consulting role, preferably in a technology or startup environment.

Q.ANT is a high-tech startup driving and industrialising photonic quantum technology, pushing the borders to new fields of application and processes. The company was founded in 2018 and is part of the TRUMPF Group. Q.ANT develops quantum sensors and photonic chips and processors for quantum computing based on its Quantum Photonic Framework. Focusing on its four product lines of Photonic Computing, Particle Metrology, Atomic Gyroscopes and Magnetic Sensing, the company engages with a broad array of industries and applications ranging all the way from medical technology and autonomous vehicles to aerospace, machinery, and the process industry. Q.ANT employs more than 90 people at its site in Stuttgart/Southern Germany.
As the Chief of Staff in Photonic Computing at Q.ANT, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring effective communication across the organization. You will work closely with the Head of Photonic Computing and other senior leaders to support the growth and success of Photonic Computing at Q.ANT. Your mission is to enhance the efficiency of our operations, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and help execute our strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
I. Strategic Support:
- Assist the Head of Photonic Computing in developing and executing strategic plans.
- Coordinate with team leads to ensure alignment of technological and financial goals with company objectives.
- Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, including market research, competitive analysis, and business planning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency across Photonic Computing.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and drive accountability.
- Ensure effective project management and timely completion of action items.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments
- Serve as a liaison between the Head of Computing and other senior leaders to ensure seamless information flow.
- Drive internal communication initiatives to keep the team informed and engaged.
- Lead and manage cross-functional projects, ensuring they align with strategic priorities and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes to overcome project challenges.
