About Yepoda

Founded in 2020, Yepoda has quickly established itself as a beauty brand that merges authentic Korean skincare with cutting-edge science. With a strong commitment to sustainability, transparency, and exceptional customer experiences, we’ve grown to a team of 80 passionate professionals and are scaling rapidly. We’re now looking for an experienced financial leader to enhance our finance, accounting and legal processes.

Why This Role Matters

The CFO will be at the forefront of creating and executing comprehensive financial strategies that align with Yepoda’s ambitious future growth objectives. This role encompasses full responsibility for the company’s finance strategy and reporting, including accounts payable, FP&A, legal, tax, and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

• Day-to-day manage of the Finance function including but not limited to accounts payable, FP&A, budgeting, reporting, accounting & tax, business partnering;
• Develop the budget with the Executive team, drive working-capital and cash flow planning and control for cost saving potential;
• Set the appropriate business objectives, budgeting/planning process, and associated metrics with the leadership team to ensure an alignment on and set strategy, operations and risk management;
• Support global growth and market expansion through strategic dialogue with the Executive team and Board to stimulate and accelerate growth through leveraging the analytical insight gained from the financial framework you have implemented;
• Collaborate with all stakeholders on the long-term strategy goals for the company.
  
  

Strategic Leadership:

• Serve as a strategic partner and financial advisor to the leadership team, help shape the overall direction of the company and professionalize the finance function;
• Steer the company through operational and financial KPIs;
• Lead strategic business initiatives; deliver special projects and deal support if necessary.
  
  

Scaling and Infrastructure:

• Establish systems and processes to support international growth and e-commerce expansion;
• Ensure financial operations align with evolving regulatory landscape and industry trends;
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and align with evolving regulatory landscape.
  
  

Team Leadership:

• Build, lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation;
• Ensure seamless communication across departments to support Yepoda’s ambitious growth plans;
• Attract and retain top talent to maintain the brand’s competitive edge;
• Foster a culture of high performance and accountability, acting swiftly to upgrade talent where necessary, also in preparation for a future exit.
  
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Law or a related field.
  
  

Experience:

• Charismatic, servant leader with a proven track record of success, ideally within consumer product businesses, executing at pace and building scalable financial systems and processes to deliver against ambitious revenue targets;
• Significant experience as CFO or #2 Finance leader with proven experience in leading a variety of finance disciplines (FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Compliance and Risk Management etc);
• Experience working in a high-growth environment with complex working capital structures, ERP setups and where the management of cash and cost is a focal point of driving value for the business;
• Corporate finance experience in dealings with banks, specialised debt providers, venture capitalists, private equity, etc would be advantageous, as well as would a prior exit or M&A experience.

• Able to lead from front, build out and professionalize, mentor the incoming finance team and not afraid to roll-up sleeves and be a hands-on leader.
