Service Engineer

Framo is a pump manufacturer based in Bergen, Norway. The company was founded in 1938 and is now a global organization and is represented on three continents. Today the company has 1100 employees and is a leading manufacturer of pumping systems used in the tanker market, the oil and gas industry and aquaculture.

Framo is part of Alfa Laval, and Bergen is the organization's competence center for marine pumping systems. Framo sells and services all Framo products. Framo Nederland BV, based in Spijkenisse, has 55 employees and has the responsibility for maritime service and spare parts activities in Europe and Africa. The maritime business is a day and night business.

Job description The Inspection Engineer carries out short-term inspection work on board ships with a FRAMO pump system.

• Analyzing and inspecting the condition of the entire FRAMO system on board ships;
• Communicating with the crew about the condition of the Framo system with regard to performance, operation, etc.;
• The work mainly takes place in the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp. To a lesser extent, inspections are also carried out in other ports within and outside Europe;
• The inspection work is mainly visual and relates to pump technology, automation and hydraulic control systems as well as hydraulic oil quality;
• Reporting and administratively handling the work carried out and advising on the actions to be taken.
  
  

Job Requirements

• MBO-4;
• You are good with computers and have technical interest;
• Strong service-oriented attitude with flexibility in working hours that comes with providing service to a 24/7 industry:
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, spoken and written;
