Project Support Lead | IJmuiden | 32-40 hrs per week

Strohm the leading manufacturer of Thermoplastic Composite Pipe for the offshore Oil & Gas Industry is looking for a versatile Project Support Lead to strengthen the Project Management Office. The position will be based in IJmuiden the Netherlands.

About The Job

As Project Support Lead you will be part of the Project Management Office which is responsible for project delivery,

quality management and project management support throughout the organisation. The project support team enable

the project teams to manage the project effectively by providing all control functions, such as schedules, cost reports,

document control, inspection registers, etc. The project support team consists of project planning and cost control

engineer(s), document controller(s) and project coordinator(s). You will be managing the team, ensuring procedures

are available and followed and where necessary provide project support yourself. You will report to the Projects

Director.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage project support team
• Implement and maintain procedures for project support (e.g. scheduling / cost control / document
  
  

control / etc.)

• Define and maintain project schedules that support and align with project requirements in
  
  

conjunction with the project manager and project team.

• Define and maintain project budget/cost overviews and reports
• Support the tender process with providing high level initial schedules and cost estimates
• Reduce uncertainty, understand objectives and improve efficiency.
• Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
  
  

Desired Skills And Experience

This role requires a hands-on mentality, a self-starter attitude, pro-active communication skills and

excellent people- and planning skills. In this role the successful candidate will be expected to liaise with all

members of the project teams, manufacturing and procurement to ensure project plans are accurate and

up to date with the latest project intelligence as well as accurate project cost reports.

Qualifications / Requirements

• BSc Engineering degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Knowledge and proficiency with multiple discipline specific software applications such as Primavera,
  
  

MS Projects and/or other planning and resourcing software.

• Good command of the English language and preferably Dutch.
• Computer literacy in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint preferably
  
  

also working knowledge of logistics software (ERP).

• Proactive and like to take initiative.
• Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
