Chore-Time develops and manufactures complete solutions to maximize poultry and egg production and is part of Berkshire Hathaway Company, an American multinational conglomerate holding company. Chore-time offers a full range of feeding and drinking systems, smart solutions for feed handling and climate automation, and intelligent management controls and software. The company offers high-end products within the market segment.
In Europe, Chore-Time is one of the four entities under the Berkshire Hathaway umbrella. There is a warehouse located in Poland that receives goods coming in from the USA. The four entities consists of around 35 employees and Chore-Time and the another entity Spirado (metal) are located in the same building in Ede, Gelderland.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial statements such as balance sheet items
- Reporting and analysis
- IT component such as data migration from three to one server
- Entries of invoices and accounts (small part of the job, but still there)
- Stakeholdermanagement: USA side, operations manager Spirado and warehouse manager.
- Analyzing stock differences and entries of materials
- Ensuring financial compliance
- Reporting to the USA.
- Have to go through all the balance sheet items in 4 days.
- you be having interviews with the CFO, where they have to explain their results.
- implemented Oracle, but a lot of things are still done in Excel
The Succesful Candidate
- Manufacturing background is a must - you need to be able to talk to the engineers and understand the production.
- A positive mindset, motivation and fun is important
- Working hands-on gives you energy
- Education does not matter.
- Dutch is highly desirable, English is a must - will need to communicate with stakeholders from USA.
- A high level of independency in your work

- International component of the role: direct reporting line to the MD and a dotted line to the USA
