Within Data Management & Architecture in the Data Analytics Grid solutions are implemented that enable accelerated data-driven decisions. As an Enterprise Data Advisor you translate the strategic vision to the functional implementation of the products and processes, with a strong focus on enabling the Data Users to make the corrected analyses in a governed, traceable and secure manner

Your job

The world of AI has changed significantly over the past years. Where AI used to be developed by data scientists, the evolution of generative AI is increasingly opening up its availability to the general public.

This has its implications from a governance perspective. At ABN AMRO, we have a clear way of working for out data scientists that helps them to bring AI use cases from start to end, given the heavily regulated environment we’re in. It describes best practices for developing AI as well as mandatory processes that use cases need to follow, while leaning heavily on our bankwide AI Principles.

With the rise of genAI, however, we see that a different way of working is needed. For example, how can we enable non-data scientists to leverage from genAI services in a controlled manner? Should our data scientists be in the loop at all times? And how to deal with topics like fairness and explainability when implementing an externally developed LLM?

You will be working actively on drafting the neccesary genAI governance, which will include:

• Mapping consumption patterns on our existing governance for AI use cases
• Gap assessments on our current governance processes
• Detailing out and implementing procedures and processes to fill these gaps
• Liase with relevant departments (e.g. Risk Management, Legal, Privacy Office, Compliance, Architecture, Security and more)
• Work with our data science and engineering teams to ensure that everything we do is as workable as possible

Working environment

As Enterprise Data Advisor you are part of the Data Analytics Grid within DM&A, a central department of Innovation & Technology with a bank-wide responsibility for data management and architecture. You work closely with the Business Stakeholders and Users from all business lines of the Bank, and with advisors, product owners and other enthusiastic professionals in the Data Analytics Grid and DM&A.

Your profile

What we expect from you:

• You have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the field of data science (either a data scientists, ML engineer, PO or similar role)
• You have knowledge of and hands-on experience with identifying and mitigating risks in ML, AI and preferably GenAI use cases
• You have hands-on experience in executing diverse ML, AI and preferably GenAI use cases end-to-end
• You understand the relevant regulation that relates to AI (e.g. the EU AI Act, GDPR)
• You have the ability to talk to all different disciplines in their own 'language' and reach mutual understanding, and have a trackrecord in complex stakeholder management
• Fluent in English (understanding of Dutch is appreciated)

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
• Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
• An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
