ProMedia started in 2010, and by now, we have become an international player in trade magazine journalism with over 25 titles, focussed on transport and logistics. WorldCargo News is our flagship magazine for the international transport industry. Our trade magazines, conferences, exhibitions, online events, and live broadcasts from our studio ensure that 1M professionals per month stay informed about the news and developments in their field.
Aa Editor-In-Chief at WorldCargo News you are one of the most important journalist in global logistics and trade. Together with your team of journalists and editors you are responsible for the newspaper and website that carries daily news.
As a journalist at ProMedia, you have more than enough room to shape your journalistic role. You write and you lead an editorial team. In your role, you coordinate all journalists, both on board and freelancers. If possible you write news articles and conduct interviews yourself as well.
As an expert in your field, you play a key role in curating programs and providing content for our on- and offline (in our studio) knowledge events. It's a role with a lot of variety and opportunities. Within the teams, we place equal importance on all journalistic skills, and we'd be delighted to explore how we can find a match with yours.
You will be working within the divisions: Rail & Infra. Our divisions comprises various trade publications. The Division is led by the Division Director. Together with other journalists, event marketing, and production teams, as well as sales, you form the Division. There is a high degree of autonomy, and there's plenty of room for creativity, personal input, and new ideas.
As a true ProMedian, you possess a beginner's mind, are ambitious, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. We are a young and dynamic company, and our strength lies in our ability to adapt quickly and respond to change. We are looking for this same flexibility in you.
You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in journalism, you are naturally curious, and you know how to extract the maximum from your team. You have work experience in all genres of journalism, both online and in print: news articles, background stories, interviews, reports, analyses, and more. In addition to journalistic writing, you are also familiar with marketing texts.
We expect you to work independently, be proactive, and have the courage to be critical of both yourself and your colleagues to improve in your profession continuously. You reside in the Netherlands, are fluent in English, and have a Dutch work permit or are an EU resident (you don't need sponsorship).
We operate within the Publishing Industry Collective Labor Agreement (CAO Uitgeverijbedrijf). Based on your position and experience, you will be classified within our salary structure. In addition to your salary, we offer a pension plan (including partner pension) and a lunch contribution scheme. You will receive a company-issued MacBook and phone, as well as an NS Business card for commuting. You will be working in an environment that allows you space to specialize in your sector.
