We are looking for a Key Account Manager (Engineered Plastics) (m/f/d) to manage Celanese key Accounts from Home Office based in Germany.

The purpose of this position is to maintain and develop a good relationship with some existing global key accounts within the Industrial/E&E segment and to generate new business opportunities with those.

Main daily or regular activities will be

  • Account Planning and Management
  • Build & enhance Celanese relationship with key stakeholders at target accounts
  • Create strong key account plans and align the account strategy with internal cross-functional stakeholders
  • Pipeline Development
  • Identify key platforms to pursue for the target account and surface project ideas
  • Coordinate and attain internal resources (Field Development Engineers, Field Technical Service, Program specialists, Account Managers, etc.) to capture the full range of opportunities in the customer ecosystem
  • Obtain materials specifications for Celanese resins in identified applications
  • Educate corporate accounts about the one-Celanese portfolio
  • Value Capture
  • Gather volume, pricing and share intelligence
  • Maximize value realization to customer’s NBA
  • Create and maintain sales forecasts for corporate account
  • Maintain all data related to assigned accounts in SalesForce.com
  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific, engineering or business related field of study
  • MBA could be a strong advantage
  • Worked more than 8 years in companies with strong result orientation and systematic approach to account management
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth
  • Industry/Landscape knowledge (both down value chain and laterally
  • Experience in selling engineered materials space required
  • Strong selling and tactical execution skills
  • “Hunter” mentality, ability to identify new key contacts and build useful relationships within customer organization (cross-functional)
  • Experience in designing as well as executing value-based pricing strategies
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Curiosity; eager to learn
  • Persistent and resilient
  • Willingness to embrace change
  • Fluency in English and German a must, additional languages a plus
