A Day in the Life

We are in search of a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team for an 18-month maternity leave coverage (Jan 2025 – Jun 2026). You will become the Finance business partner in charge of Core Surgical Germany (Revenue Oct RF $190M), report into Core Surgical Western Europe finance team and be part of Germany Core Surgical Leadership team.

This position requires autonomy, and close cooperation with your finance colleagues as well as multiple internal stakeholders (Sales Enablement and Excellence, Strategic Pricing, HR, Local Finance…). You will support the business through on time delivery of reliable financial analytics and actionable insights.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Business Partnering: Act as the Core Surgical Finance business partner for Germany, collaborating with the leadership team to achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets.
  • Financial Oversight: Take charge of all financial aspects for Core Surgical Germany, including analysing sales revenue and sales structure, allocating resources effectively, managing expenses and sales bonuses, overseeing asset management
  • Financial Planning: Lead financial planning activities, such as: preparing monthly and rolling forecasts, developing the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), engaging in strategic planning
  • Profit & Loss Management: Own the P&L for Core Surgical Germany. Collaborate with internal Centres of Excellence (COEs) and other teams during month-end close to ensure accurate reflection of monthly actuals. Conduct variance analyses and identify alternative actions as needed.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor financial metrics and assess the return on investment for key projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Provide support for key ad-hoc projects and requests, including multi-functional initiatives requiring strong financial and business acumen.
  • Deal Management: Work closely with your team and the Robotics Surgical division to evaluate the profitability of “One Surgical deals.”


Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • University degree in finance, business or accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of professional finance experience including routine use of advanced Excel
  • Hyperion and Power BI experiences are preferred but not critical
  • Experience in a multicultural, diverse environment; multinational or audit firm is preferred
  • Willingness to Travel :5% of time
  • Fluent in German and English
